Summer '24 Chromebook Information

Please see the following information regarding student Chromebooks:

• Graduating and Non-Returning Students
  Graduating students will turn their Chromebooks and chargers in before graduation day;  Non-returning students must turn in their Chromebooks and chargers during the withdrawal process.

• Students in Grades 8-11
  Students in Grades 8-11 will keep their Chromebooks and chargers throughout the summer and next year; they will keep their Chromebooks and chargers until they graduate or withdraw from the Burrillville;

• Students in Grade 7
  Students in Grade 7 will turn their Chromebooks and chargers in at the beginning of the school year when they return to BMS for Grade 8 (Fall 2024); they will receive their new devices; these will be given to the incoming sixth graders;

• Students in Grade 6
  Students in Grade 6 will keep their Chromebooks and chargers throughout the summer and next year;  they will turn them in at the start of Grade 8 (Fall 2025);

• Students in Grades 2-5
  Students in Grades 2-5 will leave their Chromebooks and chargers in their classrooms by the last day of school (June 17th); summer loaners are available at the school offices during school office hours; pickup/return arrangements for summer loaners are to be made with the school office personnel; the devices will be moved to their new classrooms for the FY25 school year.

• Students in Kindergarten and Grade 1
  Students in Kindergarten and Grade 1 should not have any  Chromebooks to turn in (they are kept in their classrooms; if you have one, please have your student leave it in his or her classroom); summer loaners are available at the school offices during school office hours; pickup/return arrangements for summer loaners are to be made with the school office personnel;

Summer Chromebook Loaners

• Students participating in Burrillville School Department summer programs who need Chromebooks can borrow a loaner from their FY24 school;

• Loaners will be available at the school offices during school office hours;

• Pickup and return arrangements for loaners are to be made with the school;

• Chromebooks and chargers are expected to be returned at the completion of any summer program;

• Students participating in Extended School Year or Summer School will have Chromebooks available in their classrooms and will not need to borrow any;
